Massively Dense Ship Contorts Space-Time

What if we could get space-time to move while our spaceship does not?

Our spaceship has the mass of our Sun in the size of a normal spaceship. It is so dense that the ship itself distorts spacetime enough to open up a wormhole.

By decreasing our ship's density, the wormhole closes. By increasing our ship's density beyond a threshold, the wormhole opens. Density control, once solved, made possible this form of travel.
