Stroke Damage Healed by Brain Organoids

Stroke victims can now recover almost completely in two weeks.

When real neuron networks grown in a laboratory dish are implanted into the stroke-damaged area of a human brain, they become functionally integrated with the neighboring brain tissue. The implanted neuron networks flexibly recreate the broken and weakened connections.
